What is QuickCasa Floorplans?
QuickCasa Floorplans is the publishing side of the QuickCasa layout editor. A property manager draws a unit layout, a building floor plate or a site plan to scale in the QuickCasa portal, then publishes it as an interactive web page that a renter opens from a link, a QR code or an embed on the listing site. The reader can pan and zoom the plan and tap any room for its area, its notes and its photographs.
Do renters need an account or an app to view a floorplan?
No. A published floorplan is an ordinary web page that opens in whatever browser the renter already has. There is nothing to install, nothing to sign up for, and no account to create, unless you have chosen to put the plan behind an unlock form or a passcode.
Does it work properly on a phone?
Yes. That is the case it was built for. Most people open a rental listing on a phone, so the plan is framed to fit the screen when it loads, panned by dragging and zoomed by pinching. Room details, the area breakdown and the share panel are all laid out for a narrow screen, and controls are sized for a thumb rather than a mouse pointer.
Can I embed a floorplan on my own website?
Yes. Every plan that allows embedding has an iframe snippet in the portal that renders the interactive plan inside your own listing page. It needs no script tag and no build step, so it works on most listing platforms and website builders, including ones that block third party JavaScript.
Can a floorplan be password protected?
Yes. Setting a plan to private locks it behind a passcode, and until the correct code is entered the page gives up nothing about the plan, including its name and its floor area. Guesses are rate limited, and changing the passcode immediately retires the access of everybody who unlocked the plan with the old one.
Can I collect leads from a floorplan?
Yes. A public plan can require a short unlock form asking for a name and an email address, and a phone number where you want one, before it opens. What somebody enters becomes a lead in QuickCasa attached to the relevant property, so it can be assigned, worked and put into automatic follow up like any other lead.
Can I see who has opened a floorplan?
Partly, and how much depends on the gate. Somebody who filled in an unlock form is listed by name and email address. Somebody who entered a passcode is counted but not named, because they were never asked who they were. Both are listed in the portal, so a plan behind a passcode still tells you how much interest it is attracting.
What kinds of floorplan can I draw?
Three: a unit layout for a single suite, a building floor plate for an entire storey with its units, corridors, elevators, stairwells, lobbies and amenities, and a site plan for the property from above with its buildings, parking, green space, walkways and amenities. Any of the three can have several levels, which the viewer presents as tabs.
Are the room measurements accurate?
Areas are calculated from the drawing rather than typed in, in whichever unit the plan uses, feet or metres, and are broken down by category under the plan. They are therefore exactly as accurate as the drawing is, which is why the viewer describes them as approximate. They are a reliable guide to relative size and a poor substitute for a survey.
Do I need a CAD file or an architect's drawing to start?
No. Plans are drawn in the portal on a grid, by placing rooms and shaping them, so the input is a set of measurements rather than a file from another program. Rooms can be rectangles, polygons, or have curved edges and rounded corners, so an irregular suite is drawn as it is rather than approximated to a box.
Can renters leave comments or questions on a plan?
Yes, where you enable it, and a comment is attached to whichever room the reader had open when they wrote it. Every comment arrives for review, and nothing a reader writes is shown to other readers unless somebody at your company approves it. Comments can also be kept for your team alone, in which case the form says so before anybody writes one.
Can I stop people from sharing a plan?
Not by turning off the share button, and the product does not pretend otherwise. Switching it off removes the social destinations and the QR code, but the link is in the reader's address bar either way and can always be copied. If a plan must not travel, put a passcode on it, because that is the setting that restricts who can open the link.
What happens when I edit a plan that is already published?
The change is live on the same link straight away, for everybody who already has it. There is nothing to export again and nobody to resend anything to. The trade off is that there is no separate draft of a plan that is already public, so if you want to work on a published plan privately, set it back to draft first.
Can renters see my internal notes about a property?
No. Private notes, private attachments, the instructions your AI assistant reads and the internal links between a drawn room and its inventory record are all removed on the server before the page is sent. The published plan is rebuilt field by field rather than copied and trimmed, so anything internal is absent from what the browser receives rather than hidden inside it.
Are published floorplan pages indexed by search engines?
No. Individual plan and property pages are excluded from search indexing and from AI crawlers, because a published plan is meant for whoever was given the link rather than for anybody who searches. Only the marketing pages on this site are indexable. If you want a plan to be found in search, put it on your own listing page as an embed, where your page is what gets indexed.
